There is no doubt you need a great skincare routine all year round, but the hot summer months are when you need to take extra care. When you think summer, you envisage your skin being tanned, smooth and glowing. Sun, sea, and spending time outside is good for you but not so much for your skin. Our bodies are made up of 60% water, so it’s of the utmost importance to stay properly hydrated. increasing your water in-take promotes healthier skin and flushes toxins from the body. Try flavouring your water with fresh fruit, keep a re-useable water bottle to hand to sip throughout the day, invest in a Brita water filter jug, and drink a glass of water before each meal.

Top Tip: Eat more foods high in water content such as lettuce, watermelon, honeydew melon and courgettes to give you an extra boost of hydration from the inside out.
